Welp, yesterday before heading to Florida for the Thanksgiving holiday, President Donald Trump stood before reporters and let them know that ol’ girl Kellyanne Conway wasn’t wrong when she told the folks over at Fox News that alleged child molester Roy Moore remaining a senator is more important than the accusers’ stories which show a consistency in Moore’s alleged pedophilia behavior.
The rationale that Trump and ol’ girl Kellyanne give for supporting the alleged pedophile is that he will help them to get the votes they need in the senate in order to get the tax bill through.
The problem that the Republicans face is that they can’t have three of their members voting against the bill.
And right now, it looks like that tax bill is DOA in the Senate. Unlike the healthcare bill, there were more Republicans, 13, in the House who voted against the tax bill.
As folks know, that healthcare bill was like the tax bill, DOA in the Senate. Now, take that fact plus the fact that 13 Republicans in the House have voted against the tax bill.
So it is safe to assume that the chances are great that at least 3 Senate Republicans will follow the 13 House Republicans lead and will vote against the tax bill.
The three Senate Republicans who will more than likely vote “no” are Sen. Ron Johnson (WI), Sen. Jeff Flake (AZ), and Sen. Susan Collins (ME).
Therefore, even if Moore makes it to the senate, he won’t help because the votes will more than likely be there to kill the tax bill.
Plus, there are talks that Moore could make history by becoming the first elected senator in over 150 years to be expelled.
He doesn’t have the support of the Republican leadership. Both Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (WI) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said they believe Roy Moore’s accusers are “credible.”
Therefore, either way a person puts it, Moore won’t be any help in getting the tax bill or anything else Trump wants through congress.
Oh, before I forget, Politico reported that Trump always believed Moore over the accusers and he was really just waiting for the right time to come out and tell folks how he really felt.
Yep, the whole tax bill excuse thing is looking more and more like Trump trying to cover up for the fact that he really supports the alleged child molester Roy Moore.
